Flotsam is a candid portrait of a day in the life of a trash sweeper in modern-day New Orleans. With a stunning visual backdrop and a lively, indulgent setting, we juxtapose the world-famous party to the sober, strategic effort made by the unsung heroes of carnival.

An experimental, ethnographical piece that highlights a unique point of view, a side of the infamous Mardi-Gras story that is often overlooked. Intimate and objective, social and personal, an analysis of the caboose that sweeps away the train-wreck that came before it.
